A Good Catch

The library at my church decided to give away a lot of their old books and invited church members to come by with a box and pick a few up. This I did after preaching in College Group today, and I think I've found a few great finds! Here they are:

Absolute Surrender, by Andrew Murray
The Christ Life for Your Life, by F. B. Meyer
The Way of Life, by Charles Hodge
Your Child from Birth to Rebirth: How to Educate your child to be ready for a life with God, by Anna B. Mow
The New Testament in the Light of Modern Research: The Haskell Lectures, 1929, by Adolf Deismann
The Text and Canon of the New Testament, by Alexander Souter
The Reign of Grace: From Its Rise To Its Consummation, by Abraham Booth
Isaac Watts: His Life and Works, by Arthur Paul Davis
Basic Christian Doctrines: Contemporary Evangelical Thought: Edited by Carl F. H. Henry
The Heart of a Great Pastor: How to Grow Strong and Thrive Wherever God Has Planted You, by H. B. London Jr. and Neil B. Wiseman
Kant's Transcendental Idealism: An Interpretation and Defense, by Henry E. Allison.
Tortured for Christ, by Richard Wurmbrand
Speaker's Sourcebook: 4000 Illustrations, Quotations and Helps for Public Speakers, by Eleanor Doan
A Hunger for God: Desiring God through Fasting and Prayer, by John Piper
Who Was Who in Church History, by Elgin S. Moyer

I'm stoked to have more books in my possession that will make for fruitful reading, and that without paying a dime. If you are a reader, I highly recommend keeping your eye out for opportunities like these and taking advantage of them when they come. This way poverty need not keep you from continuing to learn all throughout your life!
